IT is going to be a huge period of celebration for Australian Agriculture, as the Year of the Farmer ramps up, and Dowerin GWN7 Machinery Field Days joins in with the festivities.
Farming for the Future will be the theme of the 2012 event, incorporating a celebration of the past, present and future of the agricultural industry in WA.
Wearable Art from Farm Junk

WORTHLESS junk lying around WA farms will soon become one lucky designers free ticket to New Zealand, as the 2012 Dowerin GWN7 Machinery Field Days Ag Art Wear Competition kicks off this week.
Artists and designers from across WA are invited to take part in this unique contest which challenges entrants to create a piece of wearable art using only agricultural materials.
The competition created by the NZ National Agricultural Fieldays not only offers designers the opportunity for publicity and experience, but encourages them to defy traditional design elements and expose their creative abilities.

FINE weather, quality exhibits and a relaxed atmosphere made the 2011 GWN7 Machinery Field Days one the most successful yet.
After a chain of dry years, recent rain has boosted confidence in farmers from across the state, which was evident at this week's event.
